It has been a rough summer. I lost three people close to me; family and friends. I am getting back in the saddle and am bringing some new( asked for)  smaller work up to High Country Art in Blue Ridge tomorrow. I have a couple of workshops planned in the fall and have been thinking a lot about outer space lately. Maybe thats why there's some new moons in my latest round of small works. It's all happening! You ask the universe for some changes and it happens. You just have to believe and work hard! The Works in Clay Opening was beautiful last night at The Art Center West, in Roswell. We had a good turn out and it runs until May 22- so there is plenty of time to support your "artsy cats".  Next, I am pleased to announce I got into the "Woof, Meow, Chirp and Slither" Juried Exhibition at Florida Craft Art that opens June 7 and runs thru Aug. 10. Oh this new year started off crazy for me but led me to a new path ( or side trip?). First off, I would like to thank Charles Clifford Brooks III for the wonderful interview he published about me in   The Blue Mountain Review  this month. I'm a shy person so it's hard for me to talk about myself, but seeing it published and reading it online was like a visit from my soul. I was reminded of where I've come from and how I am still growing. Anyways it is an awesome journal of culture and I am thrilled to be in such wonderful and talented company.  During some down time, caring for family- I was quiet and still for a bit- this is when the creative energy has a chance to seep in your mind. FRIENDS!!!!! There is still room if you want to join us in a hand building workshop this coming weekend Jan. 11- 13, 2019 at Roswell Art Center West.  Susannah Zucker will be here from Asheville, NC teaching a hands on workshop that I am helping out with. " This exciting figurative workshop will focus on hand building techniques for creating hollow-form heads, with plenty of friendly, constructive guidance and tips from Susannah.
